Soro Lume x Bistro de l'Arte - powered by Charles Heidsieck
Two of Romania’s best restaurants, Soro Lume and Bistro de l’Arte, are coming together for one special evening, celebrating local ingredients and open-fire cooking.
Created by chef Mihai Iosif Toader, Soro Lume is a neo-Romanian restaurant born from extensive cultural and culinary research across Romania. The restaurant is particularly known for its open-fire kitchen, with seven fire sources inspired by different regions of the country and for Mihai’s modern approach to Romanian cuisine, which is bold, creative and deeply rooted in local traditions.
Oana Coantă, often referred to as one of the best female chefs in Romania, opened Bistro de l’Arte in Brașov 26 years ago. Since then, she has built the restaurant’s identity around honest, fresh and locally sourced food, while becoming one of the most distinctive voices in Romania’s gastronomic scene.
Together, Soro Lume and Bistro de l’Arte will present a one-of-a-kind menu, created especially for this collaboration at Bucharest Food Week. A chance to see what happens when two chefs with such long-standing connections to Romanian food come together and cook side by side.
This event will be powered by Charles Heidsieck, one of France’s most emblematic Champagne houses, founded in 1851 and renowned for its exceptional aged reserve wines and signature style of richness, complexity and elegance, a true expression of the house’s pioneering spirit and savoir-faire.
The menu reveal is coming soon. Reservations open September 1.
