Grain Trip
What happens when contemporary Hungarian wermut meets artisanal pastry?
Join Zoltán Nagy, world-famous bartender, together with the Grain Trip team, one of Bucharest’s best pastry shops, for a masterclass built around an unexpected combination: wermut cocktails and pastry.
Zoltán is the co-founder of Moena Wermut, together with Balázs Molnár, co- founder of Boutiq’Bar Budapest which entered The World’s 50 Best Bars of the World, founder of LAB – London Academy of Bartenders, international bar consultant and trainer, TED speaker and Madrid Fusión presenter, and the founder of Pink Pony Club Budapest.
During the masterclass, Zoltán will show you how to make great wermut-based cocktails at home, while the Grain Trip team will teach you how to pair them with pastries you can easily pick up from your favourite pastry shop.
Moena Wermut, the first contemporary Hungarian vermouth, is made with Tokaj white wine and Villány red wine, 14 natural botanicals and a lower sugar content. The result is a complex yet beautifully balanced vermouth, with floral, citrus, herbal and spicy notes that make it as interesting in cocktails as it is on its own.
You’ll take away practical tips and simple ideas you can recreate at home, whether you’re making cocktails for yourself or putting together something a little more special for friends.
